These heart-shaped mini pizzas are the perfect combination of fun, flavor, and creativity. Whether you’re looking to surprise loved ones with a themed meal for Valentine’s Day, or simply want to add a playful twist to pizza night, these little pizzas are sure to bring a smile to the table.

Made with vegan pizza dough, melty plant-based cheese, and heart-shaped vegan pepperoni, they’re not only adorable but also completely customizable. You can adjust the toppings and thickness of the dough to suit your preferences, making them as simple or as gourmet as you like. For an extra special touch, pair these pizzas with homemade marinara sauce to elevate the flavor. If you’re feeling adventurous, you could even make your own dough from scratch or try different toppings like roasted vegetables or pesto.

Ingredients Needed

Here’s what you need to make these heart-shaped vegan pizzas. Each ingredient plays an important role in creating the perfect texture and flavor, and we’ve included a few tips for making the most of them:

  • Pizza Dough – You can use store-bought pizza dough to save time, or if you prefer homemade, that works too. Look for doughs labeled vegan, as some may contain dairy. Make sure to let it rise as directed for best texture.
  • Pizza Sauce – Any store-bought or homemade pizza sauce will work here. If you’re making your own, try our simple marinara recipe for extra flavor.
  • Vegan Cheese – Choose a vegan cheese that melts well, either pre-shredded or chopped from a block.
  • Vegan Pepperoni – I used Tofurky brand vegan pepperoni, which has great flavor and texture, but any plant-based pepperoni will work. Feel free to experiment with different brands or types of vegan meats.
  • Flour – All-purpose flour is best for dusting the work surface and rolling out the dough.

How To Make Mini Heart Pizzas

Step 1: Start with store-bought vegan pizza dough and let it rise for 20-30 minutes, or follow the instructions on the package. Once the dough has risen, roll it out with a rolling pin to your desired thickness.

Step 2: Use a large heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut as many heart shapes from the flattened dough as possible. Then, use a smaller heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut mini hearts from the vegan pepperoni slices.

Step 3: Assemble your pizzas by adding tomato sauce, vegan cheese, and the pepperoni hearts. Grease a baking sheet with vegan butter or oil, and place the heart-shaped pizzas on it. Bake in a preheated oven at 450ºF for 20 minutes. Let them cool for 5 minutes, then enjoy!
