“Because Vegans Need Their Taco Bell Fix Too”

“Because Vegans Need Their Taco Bell Fix Too”

When it comes to fast food, vegans once had to rely on french fries as their only plant-based, cruelty-free option. Well my friends, times are a-changing! As you may have heard, Taco Bell recently posted “How To Eat Vegan at Taco Bell” on their website, with the tagline “Because Vegans Need Their Taco Bell Fix Too.” Their vegan options have been available for some time now, but this list makes Taco Bell the first fast food chain to advertise exclusive “AVA Certified Vegan Menu Options!”

While some vegans might feel some resistance when it comes to supporting a fast food chain that serves meat and cheese, it is important to remember that this is, without a doubt, a change in the right direction. By ordering these items, we are voting for change with our dollars. This will encourage Taco Bell to continue, and add to, their vegan menu and may serve as an example for other fast-food chains.

According to Taco Bell’s website, all you need to do is start with a traditional menu option, remove items like meat, cheese, and certain sauces, and add items like beans or guacamole. Check out Taco Bell’s list below to customize a delicious plant-based meal!
